My car insurance falls for renewal at the end of the month.
Needless to say, doing a bit of shopping around...Gave all the companies the same details. Looking for fully comp, named driver only.
Here are the results so far:
Quinn Direct - €758
AXA - €732
FBD - €660
Allianz - €658
Hibernian - €597
AA - €589
AIB - €572
Royal & Sun Alliance - €545
€213 of a difference there so far....

You should now go back to some of the original insurers and/or your current insurer and tell them you've been shopping around and that you've been offered the best quote of €500.

Have a few more calls to make today...
But I think I've found one for around the 540 mark that offers more extras as standard, so unless that's bettered, I'm onto a winner.
My current insurer has since re-quoted a lower price of 462. Down from 545.
